On Saturday, September 26th, 2026, the community gathered to celebrate the 21st annual Burlingame Pet Parade! This beloved event was started in 2004 and we only missed one year (2020) due to COVID.
Music and entertainment were provided by the San Mateo Elks Club Band and the Burlingame High School Band.
Grand Marshal, Lexi the The Tiny but Mighty Chi, with her parents Gema Belloso & Edison Huang. They rode in a Thunderbird convertible chauffeured by Don Hamblin of Bayshore Auto Body.
The parade was led by 2nd & 3rd graders from the Girl Scouts Troop out of Washington Elementary.
Winner of the Best Trick category was Coconut, the Golden Doodle, skate boarding through the “ring of fire”.
Winner of the Best Dressed category was Lucy, the Labrador, as Superman.
Winner of the Most Unusual Pet was Molly, Luna, & Stella (chickens) in the Cluck Truck.
Winners of the Best Float (non-school category) AND GRAND PRIZE WINNERS, Bubbles, the cat, in Bubbles’ Taco Truck.
1st Place in the School Float Competition was McKinley Elementary School.
2nd Place in the School Float Competition Burlingame Intermediate School.
